Dental Town Meeting

Jim Bisenius

Jim Bisenius has nineteen years of experience as a child and adolescent therapist specializing in teaching extremely targeted youth how to handle bullying situations. He has developed response techniques that have been recognized nationally as extremely effective at stopping the dance between kids who bully and the ones they target. Jim has taught his methods to over 950 schools nationally, all promoted through word of mouth. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University and his Master’s Degree from Ohio State University. During his therapy career, he has received the “Child Advocate of the Year” award from the Knox County Community, as well as the “Violence Prevention Award” from the Licking County Mental Health Association.

He will be conducting a training tailored specifically for dental staff and adults who deal with difficult people. Participants will learn exactly what reactions people who intimidate look for, and how to no longer feed them those reactions. He will share specific techniques to de-escalate and actually gain the respect of aggressive and intimidating people without playing into their power games.
